Meet Taylor " BIG" Solma

Taylor Solma is a giant when it comes to his size. He is 6 foot 3 inches tall and weighs 315 pounds. His friends just call him "BIG". A super heavy weight in the IBPA. This young man has just started power lifting. At 19 years old he can work his way to the to the top of the super heavy weight division.
He has only been power lifting since June of 2010. He won his first Teen II IBPA Bench Press Meet. He benched 245 pounds. He then took the rest of the summer off and played softball. After the softball season ended he decided he wanted to try dead lifting. Although he never really practiced the dead lift he entered the IBPA Tournament of Shadows Halloween Bench Press and Dead Lift. Championships. He won his class and set a new Minnesota IBPA Teen II Dead Lift State Record at 320 pounds. Two weeks later to entered the IBPA Tellberg Dead Lift Championships in Dell Rapids SD and won his class and set a new South Dakota IBPA State Record at 350 pounds.

Taylor has now officially been bit by the powerlifting bug. He has decided to train hard and often for this year's upcoming IBPA meet schedule. Taylor is a Freshman in college studying to be an EMT. He lives in Mankato MN. His hobbies include playing video games, softball, and hitting park cars that are on the street. (O.K. that is not one of his hobbies but it seems he does hit quite a few parked cars...according to the newspapers.) Only kidding Taylor!
